Encryption Extension

A perpetual source code license for the SQLite Encryption Extension (SEE) costs US $2000.00. This is a one-time fee that enables you to ship as many copies of the code as you want as long as each copy is compiled and statically linked with your application.

This page is for SEE source code only. If you are looking for the SDS-SEE.exml file to enable the use of SEE in System.Data.SQLite, that is a separate product.

A perpetual source code license authorizes you to create multiple products that use the SQLite Encryption Extension as long as all products are developed and maintained by the same team. For the purposes of this paragraph, a "team" is a work unit where everybody knows each others names. If you are in a large company where this product is used by multiple teams, then each team should acquire their own separate license.

After you purchase a license, we will send you a username and password that lets you log in to the SEE source code repository at https://sqlite.org/see/login. You can download the latest SEE source code and view the documentation whenever you like.

The SQLite Encryption Extension is provided as source code only. You are responsible for compiling the code and building it into your product. If you can compile your application using the the public domain version of SQLite then you will have no difficulty compiling the Encryption Extension.

The perpetual source code license for the Encryption Extension does not include technical support. If you need assistance in compiling or using the Encryption Extension, technical support is available separately. You do not have to purchase technical support at the same time that you acquire your source code license. Many users begin with a source code license then purchase technical support later if and when they need it.
