INDEX BY vs INDEXED BY

While reading INDEXED BY documentation, I was confused by INDEX BY that was also mentioned on the page. Is this a typo? Is INDEX BY a separate feature, different from INDEXED BY?
It would be nice to have this clarified. Thank you!

That's a typo. Should be "INDEXED BY". The typo has been in the docs since 2008-10-07 and you are the first to have noticed. Now fixed on the website.
