I am not at liberty to state any commitments as to future features. When or if the branch becomes merged to trunk, any new, user-visible features will surely be documented. Until then, all I can say is that the work is supported by the development team. As the branch continues, the purposes are likely to become reasonably clear in the code. (There is no intentional obscurity in the published codebase.) I predict that, when/if merged, the changes will be welcomed by the SQLite developers and those in SQLite user community who contemplate creating or using shell enhancements.
