mkctimec.tcl is still authoritative. The file it mostly generates, ctime.c, is provided as a convenience but should not be edited as a rule. It contains lines such as:<code> ** BEGIN CODE GENERATED BY tool/mkctime.tcl </code>and<code> ** END CODE GENERATED BY tool/mkctime.tcl </code>to warn users of the ephemeral nature of the intervening content.
