If the API generates <code>SQLITE_OK</code> to this situation then it's a no-op. But given the complaint, and the fact that the shell somehow knows there's a table with that name, that doesn't seem to be what's happening. Or does the shell, for some reason, do its own detective work and go looking for a table with that name ?
