Any support for stored procedures (as in MS SQL Server) does not stop with the provision of facilities for storing SQL code by name and then executing it by name. At the very least, you'd need the ability to edit the stored procedures and, ideally, run the procedures according to a chronological schedule and the it would follow that you would want to know the history (timestamp and outcome) of previous invocations. Not so simple to provide support for stored procedures.
