A tiny (phone-sized) screen will *never* be a great platform for forum-style messaging (as opposed to micro-messaging like chats and tweets and similar one-liners). *That said:* the ability to edit a post inline within the thread, including a preview, is pending. The code-level infrastructure is in place, and as soon as my RSI-plagued hands are up for implementing it, it will be done.
