What about ```[[]]``` and a compile time option to use ```[]``` if you don't want to use SQL Server syntax? Is ```['foo']``` valid Sql Server syntax too? But maybe that makes the parser to complicated. I personally get used to almost every syntax but I have colleagues which very "sensitive". For them "[]" would be easier.
